The Inner Richmond District is a San Francisco neighborhood located in the northwest part of the City located adjacent to Golden Gate Park with close proximity to the Presidio, Pacific Ocean and Golden Gate Bridge.
Also known as “The Avenues” the Inner Richmond District was developed in the late 19th century with parallel and perpendicular streets. It is largely residential with a combination of family-owned storefronts, restaurants and bakeries along Geary Blvd, Balboa Street and Clement Street. Homes range from Edwardian homes to multi-units and condos.
The Inner Richmond District residents find great pleasure in their proximity to all that Golden Gate Park offers with playgrounds, soccer fields, and trails throughout and attractions like Stow Lake, Japanese Tea Garden, Academy of Sciences and de Young Museum. The sandy shoreline of Ocean Beach and scenic views of the Pacific Ocean are also near.
